What is a 2000 KVA Transformer?


A 2000 kVA (kilovolt-ampere) transformer transfers electricity between different voltage levels. The term “kVA” represents the apparent power rating of the transformer, which combines the effects of both voltage and current.

These transformers are used in transmission and distribution networks, industrial and commercial buildings, and large-scale facilities. A 2000 kVA transformer is a medium-to-high capacity transformer.

They step up or step down the voltage of electrical energy. 2000 kVA transformers handles high voltage inputs and converts them to lower voltage outputs. This makes them good for transferring electricity over long distances, reducing transmission losses, and delivering power to different types of loads.
